Are You Taking On New Clients During The COVID-19 Lockdown?

My office is staffed during this time. We keep regular business hours between 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. My assistants are there to take payments, or if you need to drop off documents you are also able to do so. I’m available like I have always been. I’m available 24 hours for emergency matters, but during regular business hours, you can reach me by phone or e-mail if you have questions or concerns. We are accepting new clients, and I’m available to talk about your situation. I know a lot of people get anxious when they run into a legal situation. They’re anxious to talk to an attorney. Most of the time, I can put them at ease, even in light of all the things that are going on with the virus.

Should I Hire A Defense Attorney For My Criminal Case Now Or Should I Wait Till Courts Resume?

The courts in Illinois and Indiana, are still operational, but they’re operating on a limited basis. They are basically only dealing with emergency matters, new arrests, and bond hearings. However, most courts will be fully operational by July 2020. It is a good idea if you have been arrested, to call me as soon as you can so that we can start planning and talking about what we can do for your case. Also, certain types of cases, such as DUIs and other matters that have time-sensitive issues, will still proceed if we don’t do anything about it, even though the courts are having the limited operational ability.

How Are Estate Planning And Personal Injury Matters Being Handled During COVID-19?

The courts are limiting their operations. But, as far as estate planning goes, this is really one of the best times and opportunities to have a look at your estate plan. It is a good time to consider long-term planning for your assets and property, especially since a lot of people are working from home. It gives me an opportunity to put an estate plan in place so that you will be comfortable and secure knowing that your property, assets, and loved ones are properly taken care of, and that your wishes will be granted in regard to medical care.
